Excell and OSC join to form Excell Services
Lubbock, TX - January 10, 2005 -
Operator Service Company ("OSC"), a leading provider of operator services, directory assistance and customer
relationship management services to the telecommunications industry, announced today that it has acquired
Excell Agent Services, a directory assistance outsourcing company.
Excell Agent Services will be integrated into OSC, a Platinum Equity company, and the combined
business will be renamed Excell Services. Stephen B. Baus, chief executive officer at OSC, will be CEO of
the new company. Charles M. Anderson, Executive Vice President at OSC, has been appointed as President.

provides us with the size and scale to serve the needs of the largest wireless and wireline carriers in the
United States. Our goal is to deliver superior service at pricing that will improve our customers' bottom
line." Excell Services will provide a diverse product suite that includes directory assistance (DA),
enhanced directory assistance (EDA), operator services (OS) and inbound customer care (CRM) at the highest
levels of quality with superior pricing. This product suite will enable customers to aggregate their OS, DA
and CRM volume with one provider to create a superior value opportunity.
Mr. Baus said that Excell Services would provide the best value in the industry by leveraging the
most efficient call center network in North America. "The combination of our two companies is great news for
telecommunications services providers who are looking for a trusted partner when outsourcing their directory
assistance, operator services or customer care functions," he said. Mr. Anderson said the new company would
